Renault Trucks celebrates double win at Fleet Transport Irish Green Commercial Awards 2026
Taking home Irish Electric Truck of the Year 2026 for the Renault Trucks E-Tech T High 4x2 and Irish Electric Light Commercial of the Year 2026 (Large) for the Renault Trucks E-Tech Master Red Edition, the company’s success showcases its deep expertise and long-standing leadership in electric mobility.

These accolades highlight Renault Trucks’ drive to accelerate the transition to net zero, uniting real-world experience, innovation and proven performance in zero emission transport solutions.

Recognising innovation and performance

Assessment for the Green Commercial Awards took place from 7–9 July 2025 at the Johnstown Estate Hotel in County Meath, where a panel of industry experts evaluated contenders for innovation, environmental performance, drivability and operator appeal.

The judges praised Renault Trucks’ expertise in electric vehicle development and its delivery of refined, capable and commercially viable zero-emission models.

For the Renault Trucks T High E-Tech, they noted: “Renault Trucks has for many years been at the forefront in the development of electric drivelines... The T High E-Tech presents itself as a highly refined and capable truck using tried and trusted technology. It’s range distance competes with the opposition, and its drivability is second to none. Renault Trucks’ experience in the EV field has produced a complete vehicle…that will work for operators from the first charge.”

Referring to the Renault Trucks Master E-Tech Red Edition as “one of the most striking vehicles on the road”, the judges said: “The Renault Trucks Master E-Tech comes with a particular presence; its strong aerodynamic stance delivers inside and out, and the electric driveline is now well proven. The E-Tech Master has something to offer everyone with an array of options including wheelbases, powertrains and interior trims. It is a refined vehicle capable of tackling any task an operator may set it to.”

Advanced electric performance

Renault Trucks’ latest generation E-Tech models combine proven durability with cutting-edge electric driveline technology, offering operators practical range, payload and performance without compromise.

The E-Tech T High 4×2 is Renault Trucks’ flagship long-haul electric tractor, featuring up to 540 kWh of battery capacity, delivering up to 500km of range and rapid DC charging in around two and a half hours. Powered by Renault Trucks’ new integrated e-axle, it delivers smooth drivability and full torque from a standstill, perfectly suited to regional and national distribution duties.

The E-Tech Master Red Edition brings Renault Trucks’ electric expertise to the light commercial sector, offering a range of up to 460 km, with 130 kW DC fast charging adding up to 230 km in just 30 minutes. Its aerodynamic design and upgraded digital interior set new benchmarks for electric van comfort and usability. Available in two lengths and heights with more than 40 configurations, it delivers exceptional versatility for every application – from trade and delivery to passenger transport and specialist conversions.

A milestone for sustainable transport

Commenting on the award wins, Alex Williams, Head of Brand and Communications, Renault Trucks UK & Ireland, said: “We’re incredibly proud to receive these two national awards recognising our innovation and leadership in zero-emission transport. This double success reinforces our commitment to helping operators transition to sustainable logistics with electric vehicles that perform as hard as their diesel counterparts.”

The winners of the Green Commercial Awards were announced at the Fleet Transport Awards Gala Banquet held on Thursday 16 October 2025 at the Johnstown Estate Hotel, Enfield, County Meath, Ireland.
