The truck is designed to be a flexible workhorse across a range of delivery missions and is expected to cover 100,000km per year.

Beneath the cab is the latest FPT XCursor13 engine delivering 460hp, which is paired with a smooth 12-speed Hitronix gearbox for a seamless, yet highly efficient, driving experience. Air suspension ensures strong ride comfort and stability, whilst a rear-steering axle maximises manoeuvrability for this 26-tonne, 6050mm wheelbase truck in even the most demanding operational environments.

Hosting the driver is IVECO’s Active Time cab, which offers home-comforts such as a fridge and microwave, as well as a comfortable bunk for essential rest periods. On the road, an air-suspended heated fabric seat and 10” customisable instrument cluster minimises driver fatigue, delivering a high level of safety in operation.

Chris Beet, Garage Manager at Cobley Transport, said: “Sometimes a job doesn’t require a full 44-tonne truck, and under-utilising a vehicle isn’t financially viable – which is why we opted for an IVECO S-Way Rigid. It’s still 460 horsepower with a 26-tonne GVW, but it gives us flexibility to assign the right vehicle to the right job.”
